Terms and Conditions

Fee Payments and Deposits

On completion of a booking form 10% of the total cost of your childcare is required to secure your nanny. This deposit is non refundable. The remainder of your payment will be invoiced to you and needs to be paid 6 weeks prior to your holiday. If you make a reservation less than 6 weeks in advance of your holiday the full amount is due at the time of booking.
Once you have paid the final invoice for your childcare it is not then possible to reduce your hours and receive a refund. We are not able to give refunds for any childcare that you chose not to use that has already been booked.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of you not being able to take your holiday and therefore no longer requiring childcare please inform us as soon as you can. Your deposit is non refundable however if you cancel between 2-6 weeks of your childcare start date 50% of your total childcare costs will be refunded to you. If cancellation occurs less than 2 weeks prior to the start of your childcare no refund is given. A cancellation invoice can be issued to you for the purpose of claiming any losses from your insurance company.

Postponement Policy

If your holiday is postponed we will endeavour to provide you with childcare during your new holiday dates. There will be a 10% charge of your total childcare cost for us to rearrange your childcare at any time. If however we are unable to provide you with childcare for your new holiday dates the cancellation charges above apply.

Working Hours

Nannies are available from 9am - 5pm (or a maximum of 8 hours per day) from Sunday to Friday. Saturday is the nannies’ day off but it may be possible to arrange childcare on this day if your nanny agrees to work an extra day or to swap her day off. This can only be arranged 1 week prior to your holiday.
If you require childcare for more than 6 days we will endeavour to provide you with the same nanny for the duration of your stay.
Babysitting is available in the evenings. Your nanny will be available for 1 evening during your week’s stay however if you require additional evenings another nanny may be able to be provided.

Overtime

In order to offer an efficient and fair service to all clients and staff we ask that you adhere to the hours that you have booked. In the event of your returning home late at the end of the morning or afternoon due to a difficulty on the slopes you will be charged overtime at a minimum of 30 minutes. If you choose to start your day late or finish your day early and your nanny is not required for the full pre-booked session the fee remains the same and no refunds will be given for any unused hours.

Babysitting

We advise that you book your babysitting needs in advance to avoid disappointment. Clients who book childcare through Tignesie Tots take priority for evening babysitting. If you are staying in a chalet we recommend that you are informed of your chalet staff’s night off so we can reserve you a babysitter prior to your arrival. If you require more than one evening's babysitting please be aware that we may not be able to provide you with the same nanny each evening. Babysitting is charged as extra and is payable in resort in euros.

Special Needs

Qualified Tignesie Tots nannies with special needs experience are more than happy to care for children with additional needs. Due to the temporary nature of their role it is required that any children with special needs must have one to one care allowing our nannies to give 100% attention to your child. You are required to divulge details of any additional needs that your children may have at the time of booking so that an informed decision can be made with regard to suitable staffing. If it is felt that information has been deliberately withheld we reserve the right to remove any nannies assigned to your family or insist that additional care be organised and paid for in resort. It is your responsibility to ensure that all requirements have been discussed fully with Rachel Thomas prior to completing a booking form.

Health and Safety in your Accommodation and Outdoors

Tignesie Tots takes rigorous steps to ensure that the health and safety of all children in its care are maintained and protected at all times and expects that nannies will abide by the Health and Safety regulations of your accommodation at all times. It is the responsibility of the owners or company leasing the property to ensure that all health and safety standards are being met and any concerns you have about the property must be directed to your travel company. Whilst your child is in your accommodation they will be supervised at all times to prevent any accidents occurring and a first aid kit will be carried by your nanny at all times.
Your nanny will have a good knowledge of the local area ensuring that your children are playing in safe areas at all times. As parents it is your responsibility to provide us with any necessary equipment such as reigns or a buggy that will assist us in keeping your children safe. Once in resort your signed permission is required to take children on local outings such as on the resort bus or for a ride in the telecabine.

Sickness and Medication

If your child is unwell during your holiday we can advise you of where the local doctor’s surgery is and where to purchase any medication. If your child has an infectious illness, it may be that your nanny cannot continue to care for them. In these situations there is no refund of fees due to a child’s illness. On your arrival in resort you will be asked to sign an agreement authorising your nanny to act on your behalf in circumstances when your child may need medical advice/treatment in an emergency.
We will only give medication prescribed by a doctor to your child following your prior written permission. (Medication forms will be available in resort). Calpol (or equivalent) will only be administered to bring down a high fever and we will contact you for permission before hand.

Sickness of Staff

If your nanny should become unwell during your stay and is unable to care for your children we will endeavour to provide you with a replacement nanny. During busy periods however this may not be possible and any hours or days that you have not received childcare you will be refunded within 2 weeks of your departure from resort.

Mealtimes

As part of our service Tignesie Tots nannies will prepare your children’s lunch each day. How this service is provided depends on whether or not you have a catered chalet and the type of facilities that are available in your rented accommodation. It is your responsibility to provide lunch for your nanny too.

Catered chalets

Breakfast will be served prior to your nannies arrival at 9am.
Lunch -Nannies are not insured to use the facilities in company chalets as they are not employed by them, therefore we are unable to provide your children with a hot lunch. In this situation a float of money is required so that your nanny can take a trip to the local supermarket to purchase picnic style food for your children and your nanny. All receipts will be retained as proof of purchase.
Dinner- Your chalet staff will usually provide your children with a hot meal around 5/5.30pm. Please confirm this with your travel company.

Self Catering Accommodation

All meals can be provided for the children during the nannies working hours. We ask that food is available for the nanny’s first day and then as part of our service we will purchase food for the remaining days including lunch for your nanny. Euros will need to be given to your nanny prior to shopping, and all receipts will be retained.

Hotels

Children staying in a hotel will need to have lunch in a restaurant each day as there will be no facilities to cook or prepare lunch. Please provide your nanny with a float for the week to pay for drinks and foods for both the children and your nanny.

Eating Out

Your nanny will be able to recommend which restaurants are suitable for children. If you wish your nanny to take your children out for lunch we will be happy to do this. Please ensure that money is given in advance remembering that your nanny will need to purchase lunch for herself too.

Allergies and Dietary Requirements

It is your responsibility as parents to inform us of any special dietary requirements that your child may have and equip us with the necessary medication in case of an allergic reaction. This information must be given to us in writing by completing a Children’s Information Form which you will be asked to complete in advance of your arrival.
